Jauntora — Group Trip Planner App With Firebase and Laravel Admin

One trip plan. Everyone on it.

Jauntora — Group Trip Planner App With Firebase and Laravel Admin

The live preview on CodeCanyon is this app compiled for the web: the real build, not a video.

A group trip planner for friends and families: the organizer sets up the trip and shares a six-character code, everyone joins on their own phone, and the day by day plan is one shared list. Each plan shows who is in and who is leading it, the packing list shows who brings what, and on the day the Now tab shows who has arrived. Your Firebase project, your brand.

What it does well

From the app
Who is in, on every plan — Jauntora screen

Who is in, on every plan

Each plan carries a rail of stickers, one per traveler who is in, with the lead sticker up front. When a friend taps Count me in, their sticker lands on your screen too. A plan nobody is leading shows an empty sticker until someone takes it.

One tap in, one tap to lead — Jauntora screen

One tap in, one tap to lead

Count me in is a single press and so is Take the lead. Two people reaching for the same plan are settled by a Firestore transaction, so exactly one leads and the other sees who got there first, with the rail right on every phone.

Packing and arrivals, live

The packing list splits what everyone brings from what one of you brings, and a claim shows up for the whole group the moment it happens. On the day, the Now tab shows the next plan and who is here, on the way or skipping it.

In the box

From the shipped zip
  • Full Flutter source in jauntora_app/, no obfuscation and no licence server
  • Offline HTML documentation: setup, re-theming, app name and bundle id, troubleshooting
  • The back end, with full source: Firebase, with a Laravel admin
  • Back-end setup notes for Docker and for shared hosting
  • A one-page landing site for the app, ready to host
  • 32 Dart test files in the app

Run it after download

The app
# unzip the download, then
$ cd jauntora_app
$ flutter pub get
$ flutter run

The app runs on its bundled demo data first. The back end has its own README for Docker and for shared hosting, and the app keeps working without it.

Questions

Something else? Email support@coderqh.com; the author answers.

Do my friends need an account?

Only the organizer does. Everyone else joins with the trip code and their name through anonymous sign-in, taps into plans straight away, and can attach an email later to keep their trips across phones.

What stops two people from leading the same plan?

Take the lead runs as a Firestore transaction that only writes when the plan has nobody leading it yet, and the security rules that ship with the app enforce the same thing on the server. The rules chapter in the documentation lists, field by field, what a phone may write and what only the panel may change.

What does the Laravel panel add?

A Filament panel that opens the same Firebase project in a browser: trips, plans, members and packing lists to read and edit, the sign-in users, a push notification page, nightly Firestore snapshots and the day-before trip reminders a phone cannot send itself. The app keeps talking to Firebase directly.
